Green Beans

Additional Information

Scorched

  1. Trim the ends of your beans and place them in an appropriate sized fry plan. You want most of your beans touching the pan.  Then Put just enough water in that most of the beans are covered
  2. Add Butter (or oil) and garlic powder to the beans and cook over medium.
  3. When your water is all gone, the butter, garlic powder will turn into a nice coating for the beans.  Borderline burned is what you are going for here

Steamed

  1.  Set a steamer basket insert into a large saucepan and fill with water to a level just below the steamer
  2.  Bring to a boil. Add trimmed green beans
  3. Steam for about 5 minutes or your desired tenderness

Boiled

  1. Bring a pot to boil
  2. Add a pinch of salt (or however much you want)
  3. Add Beans and boil for about 5 minutes

Wrapped in Bacon

  1. Boil your beans for about 2-3 minutes (sometimes I skip this but I like mine crisp)
  2. Pat Dry (get the water off of them)
  3. Wrap a few beans up (you want some girth for the bacon to wrap around) with bacon securing with a tooth pick
  4. Sprinkle some brown sugar on top
  5. Place into your preheated oven at about 400 F and bake for 15-20 minutes

Baked

Preheat your oven to 400F

Put your beans on  baking tray (I usually put a layer of foil down easy clean up

Sprinkle with salt and drizzle w olive oil

Bake for about 20, 25  minutes.  They are down when they start  get spots and start to shrivel u.p

How to Serve....

Those fruits that are a bit more complicated then berries

Pineapple

Cut off top and bottom with sharp knife

Stand pineapple up and cut straight down the middle

Remove the Core (hint, it looks different)

Cut halves in half, make slices, then cut away from the Rhine

Watermelon

Use a big knife

Cut the ends off, stand it up, cut it half, and go from there

Cantaloupe

See Watermelon. I cut into boats and vertical slices on boats.  Then separate the fruit from the Rhine
